Revelator Show 97: Bill Brasky's Otherwise & Nothing More

On this episode of Revelator I welcome back music guest Nothing More and the band Otherwise. I’ll also cover Super Bowl 49, the top movies at the box office and this week in Revelator history featuring The String Theory.

Nothing More:

My first guest on this episode of Revelator is the band Nothing More whom also appear on Revelator #78 ‘Nonpoint and Nothing More” to talk about their break out album and upcoming tours with Hell Yeah who will be featured on Revelator in the coming weeks!

Mark from Nothing More shares some great stories from the road and also some of the bands pre-show antics. You’ll also hear the band newest single that’s been climbing the rock radio charts all over the country. Mark also hand selected one of his favorite songs off the album titles “Jenny” I felt it was a perfect way to close out the interview.

Hailing from San Antonio, NOTHING MORE is a four-headed musical hydra that runs on frenetic passion, unswerving DIY spirit and relentless sonic experimentation. Part schizoid System Of A Down weird-isms, part Mars Volta-esque prog rock freak out, part effortless pop nous; they seamlessly barrel from churning head bang to skyscraping chorus and back again in the blink of an eye. Capable of bombastic bounce that hits as hard as an uppercut to the jaw when they fancy it, the band is equally able to dial down the bluster into deft moments of crystalline beauty when the mood takes them. It's a gut-punching blend made all the more powerful by a keen lyrical sophistication and philosophical undertone, which both belies their years and marks them out from their contemporaries.

Adrian from the band Otherwise joins me to discuss his bands upcoming tour with 10 Years and past Revelator guest Luminoth this winter in support of their new album “Peace at All Cost” On the show you’ll hear cuts off that very album including the first single “Darker Side of The Moon” and the bands newest single “Coming For The Throne”

Adrian is the founding father of Otherwise. A born artist, Adrian writes all his own lyrics and has a gift of connecting with his audience. Adrian pulls from personal experiences and conveys his raw emotions not only in words but through his powerful performances on stage. Adrian is captivating, engaging and enigmatic. He is every bands dream as a front man, but was unfulfilled as an artist until he found his current cast of band mates.

Born and raised in Las Vegas Nevada, Adrian first picked up the guitar at the young age of 2. He would beg for his guitar before bed and would pluck at the strings until he fell asleep. Adrian started playing in bands in early 2000; s struggling through a string of musicians, trying to find the right fit before his brother joined in 2005 and they started Otherwise on its path. At that time life started really happening. People were dying and relationships were ending. The impact of these raw emotions came across in his lyrics and heart-felt songs about Love, Loss, Struggle, Survival and Overcoming Adversity. Since then, the brothers have been rallying to be heard, fighting to get their positive message out there.   Adrian has felt at home performing in his home town opening for major national rock bands he has come to call not only his colleagues but his friends. It wasn’t until his collaboration with In this Moment as a co-singer with Maria Brinks and subsequent national tour that his desire was fueled to push Otherwise to be more. His love of the road fed his cravings as an artist for greater life experiences reawakened his passion for musical inspiration.
