Revelator Show 283: Emma Garrell

Revelator Show 283: Emma Garrell

On this episode of The Revelator Show podcast, I welcome music guests Emma Garrell and music from Blacktop Mojo, Baroness, and The Glorious Sons.

This week’s Guests:

The Emma Garrell Band:

Emma Garrell joins me on this episode of the TRS podcast to talk about her latest single “Destination Anaheim”. Emma and I talk about her start into the music business, her influences and what got her into rock and metal music including her dad listening to the Rolling Stones growing up. Her mother is who got her voice lessons when she was a teenager.

Emma talks about expressing her sexuality in her music and in the video. Emma talks about some of the backlash from the video and her appearance and to those people I say get over yourself. Emma has plans on putting out more singles & videos. She believes she will have two more singles and in the coming year will plan to do a full release or EP.

She recorded the video in her father’s barn last winter & the chair in the video was her grandmothers.

Emma also talks about the meaning of the single Destination Anaheim and the idolization of entertainers.

Vulture Pick:

These songs are heard on the TRS podcast this week

1.       Blacktop Mojo: The band is currently on tour and will be featured on a future TRS podcast but in the meantime enjoy the band’s latest single “Can’t Sleep” off their forthcoming album.

2.       Baroness: The band latest album “Gold & Grey” is without a doubt the bands masterpiece to date and I’d be shocked if they were not nominated for a Grammy in 2020. On this episode you’ll hear the bands single “Tourniquet”. Look for concert photos coming to the site early August.

3.       The Glorious Sons: I’m not sure what I can say about this band other than they continue to write exceptional song after, year after year. The bands latest single “Pink Motel” off their new album A War On Everything set for release this 9-13-19. Check out photos form the bands recent visit to Nashville here:
