Jean-Paul Gaster the drummer for the band Clutch joins me on Revelator #154.

JP was kind enough to take some time to speak with be before a band rehearsal on a Friday afternoon. JP and I spoke in detail about the bands ever growing catalog of music and prepping for tours both in the states and overseas. The band is currently in Australia. Clutch is gearing up for a big North Americans tour with headliner Lamb Of God and Corrosion Of Conformity.

Jean-Paul also shares a view into his influence from GO-GO music and funk played into the drummer he is today. He also shares a few stories about how the band evolved at the end of the 90’s after Pure Rock Fury cycle before leaving a major label. He indicated that going on tour with Marilyn Manson was a big part of the bands growth even though it was not a tour they wanted to do at first.

The newest album Physic Warfare is a great album and Clutch continues to provide a unique experience live.
