I was able to speak with Sean and Simon from the Alvarez Kings with the help of my guest interviewer Daisy Dead from The Dead Deads.
We talked about the rainy first half of the day that was Nashville warped tour and their missing guitar in Dallas. (Daisy and I ran into the guy delivering the Kings guitar as we were talking into the main stage area)
We also spoke about the bands new EP “Fear to Feel” that was released this June of 2015. They talk about the melodies and lyrical content on the EP.
Sean and Simon have some of the best stories from their reality TV show on Fuse “Warped Tour Roadies”. Simon shares his story about not being able to return into the states from Canada and the band missing 14 shows. With the support of fellow artist on the tour, the band was able to sustain its schedule with guest vocalist while Simon's passport was being sorted out. (Whole story in the interview)
I always enjoy hearing the early stages of how bands got their name and found their current members. Simon and Sean once again have yet another entertaining story including how Sean forgot he joined the band.
The curse of the Kings may be very real as they continue to share crazy stories from these early stages of Warped tour. The first being the Alvarez Kings hitting a deer traveling on the road. The second is about some crazy drunk guy entering their hotel room at the Opera Land hotel while in Nashville.
Simon and Sean were great guest and I wish them some luck and smooth travels as the continue on this years Warped tour.

Alvarez Kings story starts from their humble roots in South Yorkshire. Rising to popularity quickly the band would go on to sell out hometown shows, selling out of their first two releases and culminating in their latest offering No Resolve being named Single of The Year by BBC Radio Sheffield as well as coveting local awards including Best Band and Best EP.
With a foot hold in their native county, ambitions were set further afield in the UK which resulted in festival slots at Isle of Wight and O2 Wireless and sold out shows in many of London’s famous venues including KOKO and The 100 Club to name a few.
Naturally, Alvarez Kings spread their music across the shores with three successful tours of Europe, a three week tour of Canada and industry showcases at SXSW and CMJ which presented the band the opportunity to play a mammoth 40 date tour in the US - the infamous Vans Warped Tour - taking in 26 States and garnering them rave nationwide press reviews and a firm, dedicated fanbase.
