Pop Evil Live at The Cowan

Pop Evil Live at The Cowan

Nashville, has in many ways has become Pop Evil’s home away from home. The band recorded their latest album “Waking Lions” in music city and have embraced the city and its many charms including hot chicken and it’s robust night life.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have photographed and interviewed Pop Evil a few times over the years. They always bring the spirit and passion that you’d welcome too hear live in person. They played the hits, they give it all on stage. On this night, their drummer Hayley Cramer who joined the band in 2016 was nursing a shoulder injury, and lead singer Leigh Kakaty was battling through a terrible cold. In true Pop Evil as fuck fashion they pushed forward and pushed hard. They rocked some old school Pop Evil, they played the new stuff including their newest single “Be Legendary “. The band has released a new video for this single as well.

Pop Evil with their ever growing catalog of fan favorites & top charting singles, still found room to mix in a few covers as well. On this night the guys would break out 90’s rock smash hit “I Alone” from the band Live. Leigh, mentioned that if it was not for this band he wouldn’t be the guy singing in Pop Evil today. Pop Evil also brought out Savage After Midnight singer Shi Eubank & Them Evils to close out the night.
