Korn Live at Bridgestone Arena
Korn- Nashville- Bridgestone Arena:
The curtain would drop and Korn would stake their claim on music city from the first note with Here To Stay. It’s fitting really for a band that spans nearly 30 years. As good as they have ever been, top form, life is peachy and you might as well follow the leader because Korn is showcasing what has made them such a staple in the metal world for decades. You hear that ride symbol chiming, The bassline and the winding guitar. Can you feel that? Are You Ready! I said Are You Ready? Blind. Man, that song was so sharp live even the damn security guards were headbanging. That my friends, is Divine. Jonathan Davis’ growl cleared a path right into your chest cavity. Rotting in Vein, and the bands newest single You’ll Never Find Me took ahold of the Bridgestone arena with precision. The transmission of this Twisted Transistor beckons the nursery rhymes of days past. Bag pipes, black kilt, nick, knack paddy whack, give the dog a bone. Shoots and Ladders followed by a chorus of voices from the packed arena. Korn was bringing us all home. The Darkness imprisoning me, a taste of ONE. Yeah, Korn has Got The Life. Make Me Bad for when I awake, I can’t always say it’s going to be better tomorrow. Somebody, Someone lends a hand. Pick up our fellow humans as best we can.
Head, Munky, Fieldy, Ray and Jonathan had the crowd wrapped up tight, caught in the moment, The Freak On A Leash was not getting free. The encore brought something 4U with a Twist, for Korn had Nashville Coming Undone. Things maybe Falling Away From Me but Korn on this night caught everyone. Legends with songs that have embodied passion, insight and personal strife. Korn’s pure, visceral energy through the influence of music transcends and evokes a response.
