Highly Suspect Live at Marathon Music Works

Highly Suspect Live at Marathon Music Works

Halloween weekend started on a rainy night in Nashville at the Marathon Music Works. After a nice walk in the rain I ducked into the bar attached to the venue. I would run into Lzzy Hale and Joe Storm from Halestorm for about the 100th time. It is Nashville after all. They stopped to say hello briefly before getting an escort backstage.

Highly Suspect would pack the place. Another sold out show on their current tour. That’s the first thing Johnny Stevens said”Damn Nashville you fucking packed this place”

Highly Suspect live! This is my third time photographing the 3x Grammy nominated band. Make no mistake about it right now. Highly Suspect, when you pick up their music 15 years from now, you’ll still love it as much as you did the first few times you heard it. That is priceless. That’s the true measure of quality music and song writing in my opinion. It’s real and in-depth. MCID, Soul, style, substance. The, be here now, for the moment, Highly Suspect is right now and later, the real deal.

Here is the Highly Suspect search link on the site where you can see past photos, live reviews and an exclusive album review from Corey Clark from the band AEGES as a guest writer. http://www.revelatorshow.com/search?q=highly+suspect

Ryan Myers crowd surfing.

Well, now that I’ve got that out of my system. The live show featured the full chamber of music from the guys including a DJ RedBees introduction.

If you have a favorite song that’s not played on the radio, you more than likely heard it live plus all the hits you’ve been hearing on FM channels and Octane.

Johnny broke up a small debate between two women in the front row, complimented a fantastic flash of breast from a woman in the crowd on someone’s shoulders, and then Johnny and bassist Rich Myers switch instruments and continue the extended jam out an extended version of Lydia. Ryan Myers, the band’s drummer would provide a very rhythmic drum solo. He then handed his kit over too whom I assume, was his drum tech. Ryan then went diving into the crowd from the security rail. Crowd surf! All of this took place after the band played about 14 songs or more in what was a full rocked out party featuring Highly Suspect .I couldn’t of thought of a better way to start off a weekend full of vampire teeth, cos-play super-heroes, snow bunnies and sexy nuns.

Highly Suspect MCID a true real time classic in the making.
